Handling characteristics will be different. Generally, a hard top weighs less and is more rigid (which equates to better handling) than its roof-less counterpart.

Personally, I think a convertible version will look good as well. I love the look of the current e46 M3 convertible.

 

Just get the 645ci convertible then, yes, I agree a M6 convertible is not a good idea.

 

Yes, I saw pics a test mule in one of my mags. It looks great. The top seems to fit like a glove.
I'm a hard top guy myself. Just more sexy and safer to me. The 6 series bimmers are the sexist car on the road imo. The 557 is still my favorite of all time but the 6er is just....sexy.

It's a good looking car.
If I was in the market for a car in that price range I would considder it.

 

The M6 is pretty much on teh cover of every publication I have seen. And the reviews are pretty glowing. Its the fastest M ever.

The European mags already compare it to the 911, and the 911 still is the favorite.

As Sexy stated, I actually like it too.
