Now that I think about it, there were 2 used 2006 GS430's in the lot at JM Lexus when I was there last week. I was surprised to see them. I was even more surprised to learn the prices were only 1K below what they originally sold for. Both had over 1K miles. I'm sure the price could be negotiated down a little....at least I hope so. A used car is a used car.

I bet they are. When I test drove an 06 they told me it would be kept as a demo and sold as used. He also told me it was ok to rag on it

Note to self: Dont buy demo car from Wilde Lexus. I wouldnt want something that has been "ragged" on. That is a beautiful color though

Don't be surprise on the way people trade in their cars. I've seen a guy trade in his 04 911 turbo with only 2,200 miles along with 04 E55 with only 600 miles, both for a brand new LX470. It's a tax write off for him, so he took a hit on the loss of the trade in because he make so much money last year and doesn't want to pay Uncle Sam.

I know one guy trade in his 02 IS for the WRX STI( at Subaru dealer) and then turned around trade in the STI with only 600 miles for the 04 IS with the same option and color just like his 02 IS....

Between both trades he loss about 10K.

Sometimes people trade in their almost brand new cars because they don't like the car, money problem, problem with the car or need more room due to the new child. Who knows. The place I work we got so many high eng MB, BMW, Vipers, and some other manufacturer that we have to call the MB or BMW dealer and sell them for $500.00 over the trade in value because nobody's gonna come to Lexus dealer and look for a $100K+ MB or BMW. The good thing is we got the change to check it out....

I don't believe they were demos but I'll ask when I go back this week.....if they're still there. The demos at JM are usually kept over by the new cars. That's where they were when I did my test drives. These were right in the middle of the pre-owned cars.
