...here's another car to add to the "looks like it's taking a dump" category!

Oh jeez, guys, room for a circular badge and kidney grille...I just don't have a CLUE as to what it could be...

Dammit Adrian, quit judging the looks of cars based off of pre-production spy shots / camo shots!

As ugly as it looks in these pictures... it says hardly anything about how the final design is going to come out.

You can't hide pilar design, and that hideous drooping D-pilar is production-ready. Damn thing looks like a Chrysler Town and Country.

I think it looks more like a 1-series + Aztec from the spy shots. But we'll see how it looks once they're done with it; as of now, I'm scarcely impressed.

I love the current X5 - I hope they don't slaughter it.

I agree. The profile can't be camo'd and it looks awfully clumsy in the spy shots.

Huh?!
I truly do not understand what all of you are talking about when you say you can't judge it due to camo.

Can you not see the pilars?! Those aren't made out of cardboard or black plastic trashbags ya know! The profile of the truck is perfectly clear, and it doesn't leave much to the imagination. Mike is right; it looks like an Aztec flew up that things *** and colided with a 1-Series.

Mark my words: This thing is 90-95% production accurate. In fact, it may actually become more hideous once the cladding comes off.

XeroK00L: I think you would agree that the new BMWs currently in production look clumsy.

By the way, this is not the work of Bangle. It was designed by a Dutch dude named Adrian von Something-or-another...

Maybe we're placing too much blame on Bangle. Maybe there's something in the air at BMW design centers that affects ALL of their stylists...I'm thinkin' crack cocaine...

If it's the profile that's getting to you - then yeah you can see that in the camo shots. As for me.. the profile of it doesn't look ugly to me (don't get me wrong - it certainly isn't appealing... but it doesn't make my eyes want to jump out and blind themselves.)

With that said - I'm still going to reserve full judgement until the actual press shots are out.

I'm really laughing now because that reminded me of Johnny Depp in "Once Upon a Time in Mexico":

"I can't see, ****-mook, I have no eyes..."

Keep on waitin'...You're far more patient than I am.
