Exclamation Humvee vs Anti-Tank Mine

From another forum.... this is the text that was with it.

"it hit a land mine in central Iraq. The driver received minor injuries to his head and leg. The gunner was blown completely out of the turret and the passenger in the front seat lost one leg and may loose the other. The dash board is completely destroyed along with half the engine block.

the mine was in a pothole on a paved road. The mine took off the frame rail and the entire right front suspension."

They don't make airbags for that? . But, seriously, that's some wicked stuff. Too bad there were that many people in the vehicle. . .

well jeebus!!! thats an anti tank mine. hence the name, "anti tank mine." Extensive damage is expected, still, it just gives me chills. My boy thats in Iraq told me that his truck got hit the other day with and IED... trucks destroyed, but hes ok.

if you ask me, this is definitely a testament to the durability of the H1's in service. Theoretically, that Hummer should have been blown into a million tiny pieces along with everyone inside. As was already mentioned, this WAS an anti-TANK mine.
