Being a "young man" driving a car like this around my area definately gets me no respect from cops. Never got off easy on a ticket -- no warning, etc. I just got my insurance dropped less than a week ago -- along with that the insurance of my family, whom were in a package family plan in which I was included. My parents were expecting this to happen so they aren't shocked. They were laughing about it, which makes me feel even more worse. Tickets suck and I seem to have not learned my lession.

96 in a 70... $175
42 in a 25 ... $112
64 in a 45 ... $ 112
43 in a 25 ... $112
110 in a 65 ... $515
42 in a 25 ... $112

Total = $1138

I got real lucky on the 110 in a 65 ... That was in Georgia, and they could have sent me to jail for "attempted manslaughter". I just ended up getting a reckless driving ticket and was ALLOWED to keep my license only because it was Chirstmas.

And just last week I got a Passport 8500 X50 ... I think I should have gotten that a little sooner?

Drive slow guys, not worth all the trouble, the danger, the guilt ... and the money.

ouch bro, sorry to hear that.

i dont think it matters either you have GS3 or GS4. fast drivers will drive fast regardless.

I agree with this. At the speeds Brandon was at, both the 3 and 4 are very comfortable. Yes the 4 will get to the speeds faster but once you are there, you are there. You normally don't get a ticket for getting to speed fast, just how long you've been at that speed.

And slow down Brandon. I'm sorry to hear your situation (and I see what caused you to lose your RMM STB) but affecting your family's insurance (not just your own) should tell you something. I actually surprised that you wrote that your parents had a good laugh about it.. For now, they have no insurance either.

From the title, it seems like you've learned a good lesson. Will you change based on what you learned is what matters now.

Hey bro sorry to hear about all these tickets!

I got two speeding tickets in one year alone. And to top it off I have been licensed in Canada for about 16 years now and never got a speeding ticket before last year! Both were over 15 km over the limit and I got 3 demerit points for each. So I now have a total of 6 demerit points.

If I get another 3, I will get a warning from a judge!

We cannot have radar detectors here in Canada, so it is next to impossible to speed unless you are following a bunch of guys that are speeding and you follow them and hope you don't get caught. Speeding safely that is. I am not referring to reckless speeding.

Your tickets also explain why you had to sell your RMM front STB.

HAHA!! That's funny. The guys at work asked what I used. I told I don't have one. They're response was, "You mean you use the Force".

No these were both last year in 2003 before I put on the LSD and waaaay before I put on the TC. I watch my driving very carefully now. I need to get out to a track and get the speeding out of my system!

Yes we do. As a matter of fact I fought the second one ( I hired one of those traffic specialists) but lost the case.

Wow, sorry I didn't reply earlier, been busy with work and school -- this thread got pretty big

Well, the situation with my insurance is okay now. The other day we got insurance coverage from another insurer and the difference between our old insurer and new insurer is $80 every 6-months. Also, what really sucks is that insurance only caught 3 of my tickets. So there's a few more that might be showing up sometime soon. The last ticket I got was 2 days before I got news that my insurance company had dropped us.

Oh and yes, the GS3 is still pretty bad when it comes to someone with a leadfoot -- if I had a GS4 then I would probably have 2x the number of tickets though Also, the Passport 8500 X50 is amazing. Really should have gotten it sooner. Got a great deal on it by the way. $185 out the door with my Best Buy employee discount

Speeding = bad!

Tried to fight my first ticket -- the 96 in a 70. They gave me "aggrivated driving" for that one and when I went to court, the judge just said, "I don't care what you say ... I don't give traffic school to anyone who has aggrivated driving".

Paid my $175 and realized it was a waste of my time .. and money.

Most likely a posted school zone speed limit when in session.
