those small gtis and cars like civis are HOT in euro and asia..good gas mileage..and GREAT handling .not to mention easy to park(just try to avoid dings and dents from larger cars)

Depends I suppose. I have a friend with an 02 GTI also and she loves it. I have not heard about any problems. I've had a Jetta before and I had no majors either.
