Default Lexus needs to add Memory Slots to Radios

How about removing the tape slot and replacing it with a 10 in 1 memory slot that you can insert the memory card of your choice and play MP3's and WM files.

I'd be happy with just an AUX input to plug in whatever players we have.

Well I suppose you could just use a device that inserts into the tape deck and provides an input source. But for me, opening up the Nav Screen and seeing all of the songs on the chip and then shuffling them. That's be styling.

Well yes an integrated player for those with a Nav screen would rock. I'm with you 100% there.

For the rest of us with no screens, just a silly little aux input would make me happy.

Tape adapters are so0o like totally 1990's.

My guess is that most of the advances in radio technology will hit the Mark Levinson with the Nav screen. For example I can't imagine satellite radio being available without a nav screen. Chrysler does Sirius Radio on their Nav screen and it looks great.

Either they'll reduce the price of the Nav screen to get everyone using it and taking advantage of these options, or they'll build it into the price and simply drop the old radio. Then maybe the Nav option will still be a fee but not activated until you purchase the option.

I have to imagine a decent size screen making its way into every car for controlling many items. AC, Radio, Trip Computer. In the future they should be putting that screen inside the windshield.
