Question Car Mats - What's Better???

in your opinion:
ExactaMats or
Protect-A-Mats

The various Lexus dealers in Atlanta carry each, and they are all sold on the particular one they carry.

I'm looking for a good rubber/plastic mat to go over my floor mats. I work at a plant and carry a lot of crap (oil, dirt, etc...) on my shoes.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

DEFINITELY go with rubber or vinyl floor mats....especially for the use your car gets.
The factory carpeted mats that come with many new cars may LOOK nice...especially with the embroidered new-car logos sewn into them...but ( trust me ) they can be a real pain in the a** to keep clean...especially the lighter-color ones. They also wear and mat very quickly where your right heel rests at the base of the gas pedal.
Some automakers (like Saturn and Subaru) offer custom-cut factory rubber mats for a specific vehicle.
Barring that, Rubber Queen and Rubbermaid both make good aftermarket ones. Try to find ones with long nubs on the underside that will grip the carpet and help prevent sliding.....but you may still want to use clips in back.

When i bought my matrix about 8 months ago, i bought the plastic / rubber mats from the dealer.

It was an excellent choice, never used the stock mats....and these clean up so easily. These still look brand new.

I purchased the clear vinyl mats for both my LS and SC before I took delivery. They look good and do a great job of protecting the floor. Yes they are over the factory mats. I found that the best pricing on these were at mat depot (www.matdepot.com). They are made by Lloyd and are at least 40% cheaper than those that I found elsewhere.

I'm doing the same with both my cars especially it rains a lot here during winter.

I recommend Exact Mats or the Lexus All Weather Floormats.
