Well I hope it's true. B/C TRD promised us a turbo IS 300 and well, that never came.
Also, I place my bets that the base Supra will use the V-6 to be used in the new GS 300 and IS 300. So those cars will be considerably quicker as well.
The V-8 will also be used in a future Lexus. I can't see 1 V-8 engine only for the Supra. IT WILL be shared with some other Lexus/Toyota product.
I really hope these rumors are true. The Supra owned (hell really still ownsz) all Japanese sports cars sold here. History will repeat itself.

it is a red 1994 TT with 80500 miles on it.. bone stock.. I want to keep it stock so I can drive it daily.. most of my cars are not very fun to drive on street so this would be my daily for now

Down the line you'll have to let me know how you find it as a daily driver. I used mine for a daily driver for about 5 months and then had to switch back over to a Sedan(GS300). The reduced rear visibility/ harsher ride made me decide to use it as a weekend/ secondary car thereafter.
I've been reading that Supraforums post, pretty interesting stuff. Some good points in favor of a MKV becoming a reality.
1) Toyota dropped the MR2 and Celica from its lineup.
2) Toyota has been spending boat loads of money on every type of racing.
3) Everything Toyota does, they do for a reason.

With your track record for cars, I don't think it'll remain stock for long.
