newby saying hi
. my name is Chris, and I currently drive a turbo'd Integra that makes 298whp and 287tq tuned. On slicks she runs 12.4 in the 1/4 and on drag radials I run 12.9-13.1(depending on track condition). I love my teg to death but I think it's time for something new, and I have always been a fan of lexus's having drove my grandpas sc430, and my uncles gs430, I have fell in love with their looks and refinement. i'm currently 18 at the moment with a steady flow of money, so the idea of obtaining one of these great cars has come into my mind many times , but the only thing worrying me about owning one is insurance. I have found a couple of certified lexus's at the dealer and I have found a couple at some 2nd hand dealers also, but I have narrowed it down to gs300(400 depending on insurance quote), sc300, and is300. whichever car I go with I WILL own with the intention to boost it right away, because once you've been boosted, it's hard to do otherwise.
anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself, and say that this forum is very well put together, and the feedback and insight is unlike anything i've seen on Honda forums, so good job
.I hope to become part of the Lexus owner club very soon and be sure that when I do get my car, pics will be on the way.

as for insurance goes it will be high... i'm sure it's high for your teg also...... expect 40-60% higher than what you pay now.
good luck on your hunt.
welcome to the club. I am most impressed with the the torque that your teg is putting down... it's hard to get that type of torque out of that car... My buddy's turbo teg puts down 26xrwhp but only 210rwtq..

as far as my torque is concerned, you'd be impressed what Hondata and a great tuner can do
. I didn't half-step my setup either, I went with a Precision sc34 turbo, full 2.25" inlet piping and 2.5" outlet IC piping, full 3" downpipe, lovefab sidewinder polished manifold, blah blah. my buddy also has a turbo'd b18b1 and he makes more torque than horsepower
. Insurance is pretty high for my teg being that we have 7 spots on the top 10 most stolen cars right now, so I don't mind paying a little more for a solid car, but hopefully it's not TOO high, but I think i'd sacrifice a few extra bucks to have a nicer project
Welxome to CLublexus. I know quite a few Integra owners switched to an IS 300, turboing it as well. Got pics of your ride?
