The last few seconds of the video ... did that powerplant explode? At 85,000 RPM - that thing would probably only be good for a couple of runs. I fail to see the point of this exercise. I'd take Atilla's "Scootertiller" over this thing
That's pretty cool, I wish I had one of those when I was a kid A few weeks ago I ran into a site where the guy installed a turbo on his cart, that's something I was dreaming of doing when I had a go-cart. I remember when I was younger my friends and I were thinking of something along the lines of a turbo...we ended up putting a car battery, power inverter (converter? D/C to A/C), a blow-dryer, and some ducting to connect it to the lawnmower engine. Of course it didn't work, but it was a pretty cool experiment

lol - yeah - right now my brother and a couple of friends are trying to design a forced-induction system for an old Jetta using a leaf-blower ...
I know greed for power never ends but my goal is to have a car that performs well all around. I think that puts things around 400rwhp and 500tq.... I guess i say it because i've never had 400rwhp or 500rwtq but i think for the things that i want to do that will be more than enough.
That sounds like a jet...amazing...
Wonder what hit the camera on the 2nd run... Did the kart explode into pieces and one of them hit the camera or what?
I hope the driver survived the explosion if that was the case.

This is somewhat like the acceleration / deceleration tests the Air Force did back in the 1950's with rocket sleds designed to test the limits of human G-endurance...with volunteers, of course. Colonel John Paul Stapp pulled around 40G's during the test....and survived with some blood hemmorages.
