That engine is the next generation of mine, only sold in Europe, 3.8 liter inline 6 with 340hp BEFORE the turbo. Not a cheap conversion. There is supposedly a few E30 M3's in San Diego with my 311hp inline 6.

You are correct. I got bad information from a BMW board. However, I should have looked closer at the engine--the sparkplug wires on my engine and the 3.8 are under a cover. So, that would be 256hp stock plus the turbo in a car that was 2700lb prior to the new engine. Would not be slow at all. I bet the conversion was upwards of $20k if he did it right. That engine is considerably longer and taller than the S14.
