I think that car looks great. Scion may be moving in the right direction now. No more 100hp boxes with stereos. This TC seems to have the best of all worlds. I'm 17 and if I'm not mistaken they are marketing to my age and older. This is something I would actually buy if I had that kind of money. It looks like a winner to me, hopefully its tunable. Toyotas vvti engines are hard to turbo. But a supercharger may work if its the right price. If only they could offer that package for 13 grand.

Thumbs up NICE car

Nice little coupe. I had a 1995 Celica.....the last-generation model with the four big round headlights. I wish Toyota had replaced it with THIS car in 2000 instead of the present Celica they're selling.
This car is MUCH better looking than the present Celica...and with turbo power as a dealer-installed option.
This Scion tC's platform, by the way, is based on a Toyota sedan sold overseas...not here in the U.S.

Looks good... I'd still get the 100hp box though. I'm saving for one.

Come on, Amy.....maybe as a second car? You wouldn't trade your IS for one, would you?
To quote Flip, that would be like being on Mars.

this is a MUCH needed improvement to the scion line. the tC still doesn't make me want to run out and buy a scion though.

anyone have numbers for this car yet?

Well of course I wouldn't trade my IS for one. I love my IS, it ain't goin nowhere! It would SOOOOO be a secondary car.

And Milla here is more pics of the tC including the rear.

If this was out oh, 8 years ago, I would be so there. I think the car is great inside and out , some next gen GS styling in front and some G35c styling on the sides, so a great mix. I cannot believe Honda is just watching this happen with their Civic. This car also demolishes the Saturn Ion coupe.

Another winner for Toyota.

I agree, Amy...I would maybe have exchanged my old Celica for one, but not my IS.
I was afraid you were going to tell me that the supercharged tC is a better power-to-weight ratio than an IS300 (which is true).

Agreed it blows the Ion away, but that doesn't take much...in spite of the advantages of the plastic panels, the Ion is one of the poorest fit-and-finish cars on the market...with an interior that would make a Yugo look plush. Saturn's only claim to fame now is the quality of the dealership service....and the Honda 3.5L V6 in the VUE.
