Pricing for the 2004 M45, including 4.5L V8, with additional standard equipment, has an MSRP of $43,250
Dam you can't beat that with a stick. That's a lower price than the current RL.

Good post, Neo. I agree 100%. I do not like the new GS looks at all, but if it offers a high performance hybrid as an option, it may be hard to pass up. I wonder if Infiniti is working an any hybrids. I haven't heard anything. anyone, anyone ??

hmm, let's look....

I agree on this one !!! GS = Maxima !!! Specially the rear trunk part, no ??

tired of the debate on cars looking like others. The infiniti is nice, have not seen one up close yet, doubt i will for a few months, Would not buy one, due to there known loss of value, i am not judging the gs until i test drive one.

FYI... Infiniti has put up a page where you can build your own new 2006 Infiniti M45.. Wood is an option for the interior, which I know was a concern for some people.. They are also accepting feedback comments on what you might like to see added as an option.. Very cool idea i think... here is the link if anyone is interested...

I guess you purchase cars for a different reason than I do. I purchase cars basis on what I can afford, and what car offer the better performance/price/luxury/and reliability. If that's the case I suggest you never purchase a new car.

and let's not forget that Infiniti has a slightly better long term reliability record than Lexus

V-8 starts at $44,500, the V-8 sport $47,200. I got it to 53k loaded. GREEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAT buy, IMO.

V-6 starts at $39,200, the V-6 sport $41,900 and the AWD V-6 $41,200.

Aluminum is only available on the sport models. Wood is an option on ALL models.

The V-6 AWD says 270hp+ so the RL has the HP advantage. But the RL better not be more than $43,000 stock.

I wish Lexus would have more info on the GS, I guess they want to see what the competitors are gonna do before making their final move.

And egads, white with black leather with aluminum is available.

300hp on RL but its FWD w/AWD optional. after IS300 i dont think i will be able to drive FWD car any more.
i tried on my dads comuter 94 Diomonty i was like where the f*** is this car going. thanks god he is getting new car soon. he wants SC430 but i'm gonna strongly advise him on waitin' for M45 so he can drive it b4 pulling the triger.

Thumbs up

All I can say is WOW...Infiniti definitely isn't holding off anything this time.

The M45 with luxury/options approaching (and in many ways exceeding) a loaded LS430, pricing similar to the GS, performance exceeding both, and the reliablity just as good, will give Lexus some very, very serious competition. Kudos to Infiniti for raising the bar.

I can't get over the rear either, though. The blacked out version made by EvgeshaIS300 does seem to fix it quite a bit. The profile otherwise looks very handsome.

The Infiniti's brand image is climbing up faster and higher than ever.

If the world could have looked into the present day 15 years ago to see what the japanese luxury car market has gloriously evolved into, they would ***** their pants.

I cant believe how awesome these cars look, the incredible refinement and smoothness, and SOOOO MUCH HORSEPOWER!!!

If the M45 got smaller and lost a few hundred pounds (which I think it did) coupled with a yet even stronger V8, that thing will be a virtual rocketship. The current M45 is evaluated as being "a rocket."

In my case, a V8 is critically nessesary, nothing less, so it would have to be an M45. My plans to upgrade to a 98 SC400 in a few years still holds steady.
