IMO, -those tail- no way will that a** has chance of being pretty -even if someone buys it and customizes it-they are just too big.
For some reason this definetely is the way infiniti is going, as the g35 shows great resemblance. They seemed to go just a bit too far.
After the unsuccesful sails of the previous one though, you'd think they'd thought long and hard throughly, not to make such a disaster again. I guess their fine with it and won't regret it; they want a certain buyer like maybe don't know male 50 plus, who likes it the way it is, and as distninctive as it looks doesn't think about it too much. It had that appeal sporty luxrious, etc all in one, like this gen gs, but it a matter of opinion, and mine is too not buy it!

It's much better looking than that bloated a$$ the new GS has. At least the M45 has some muscle definition to it, while the GS's is all blubber Originally posted by Lex_Fnatic

Yes, yes "the rain"
I do agree! lol
The gs is an old old body style, nothing like the new designs, but I think it still is has it's charm in that why so many of us here are in love with it. It . You can have your opinion!!
Thanks!

Here are more pics. This car is nice, much better than the RL Acura pooped up with.
I agree on the Acura RL comment. Disappontment indeed. The interior is the nicest of the 3 i think, however. I don't think the new M45 looks like the Maxima. It IS made by Nissan, so there are some similarities. But i think the new GS looks more like the Maxima than the new M45 does.Originally posted by 1SICKLEX

Looks take a closer look at this Tennesse built, Lexus wannabe. And let's get this straight, the Lexus 2nd gen GS which was out in fall 1997 as a 1998 model has now been copied by the 2004 Nissan Maxima and 2002 Altima in profile and design. It borderline disgusts me everytime I glance at one of them thinking it is a GS, then upon closer inspection it is a copy. A mimic. A knock-off. A wannabe. A poser. Go to the Altima or Maxima forums, they LOVE the fact people tell them or ask them "is it a Lexus". Utterly disgusting.maxima....

Maybe it does look like the GS, but I have to say, I even think the '04 Maxima looks better than the new GS to come. Of course it's not as refined, and the grille could use a nice chrome replacement, but overall, the lines just look a little better to me. I hope Lexus reworks the GS before production. Because visually, that car just is not appealing at all. It looks awkward to me Originally posted by 1SICKLEX

I think it is beautiful, but it looks too much like the G35. Nothing wrong with that because the G is a beautiful car, but I think Infiniti needs to differentiate it more. I pretty much agree with most everyone here that the tail-lights need to be less prominent, the current layout is too distracting.
In regards to the GS/Maxima comparisons, they have similar lines but the GS looks more solid and looks more polished (design-wise).

It is hard to be the design team for any competing car brand. Trying to come up with an innovative appealing original design demands certain features at high price bracket. .Think of the 7 series and its contraversy going too far . I believe the IS is quite attractive. The 3 series is quite original. They must try their best, but it must be hard, . They have a hard I belive it's harder than it looks.
Put 03 + accord
04 max
06 gs
new e class together in appearance
the m infiniti looks alot to me like the new acura line as well. So it s everyone!

From www.freshalloy.com. The M45 has a shorter wheelbase than the Fuga Concept
M45 : 114.2 inches
Fuga : 116.1 inches

M45 : 114.2 inches
Fuga : 116.1 inches

I think the M45 looks great and is a serious contender to replace my current GS in a few years. Infinity should have most of the kinks worked out by then.
The only thing holding me back is the GS Hybrid. I am not looking forward as much to the new GS but the Hybrid technology is very appealing.
