Default High performance CLK

Here's a supercharged, 500 hp, 1999 Mercedes-Benz CLK 430 SMK, custom work by Steve Millen in CA. Lots of modifications including full wide body kit, SMK suspension, SMK big brakes, BBS 3-piece 18s, custom seating, etc. It is now being listed on Ebay.

Some pics shown below. More can be found here.

Although I appreciate a widebody any day, that kit totally detracts from the sexiness of a CLK...

A few things I can think of that could improve the look of the CLK:

- replace the stand-up star emblem on the hood for the flat one
- HRE 20s
- blacked-out tailights
- darker tint
- lose the red-outlined custom seating, and put in a 2-tone (like light gray/black)
- replace the exhaust with a dual one (like on the CLK 55)

I'd definitely keep the kit; it's one of a kind and certainly a lot of money and time have been put into it.

A lot of Mercedes owners in general like those stand-up hood ornaments....that is why the company has kept them on many of their products. Buick, Cadillac, Jaguar, and Lincoln still keep them on some of their products, too....especially on the more conservative ones. Unfortunately, teen-age vandals like them, too........yanking these things off the hood and breaking the springs is one of their favorite pastimes. In fact, some of them have contests to see who can collect the most different brands.

And not just hood ornaments, either...I had a kid yank the chrome Toyota logo off my old Celica's TRUNK.

Performance
brakes/suspension
kit/wheels

They shouldve gotten a AutoCouture kit/wheels or maybe some HRE's or something cause the current exterior looks blah to me =/

looks nasty. I like the power and the fact that Stillen worked on it though.
