First impression: Looks like a Volvo.

The new look probably works better on this model than most. But if you see one from a lot of angles from the A pillar back looks like a 911 with a bangle bustle slapped over what should just slope. Another unimpressive and from several angles, incomplete looking design.

Although this one looks a little better than most of the newer designs, its not the instant Love that the E39 inspired the first time you saw it, or the E46 M3.

I dont see how someone could drop 70k on a car that has to 'grow' on them. For me its gotta be instant LOVE!!

(like the new LS430 )

One of a few of Bangle's designs taht i acutally wouldn't mind owning, this and the 7. And, as mentioned above, with the trunk lid up, the back from a side view does resemble a 911. I like this one.

It's shame when a car looks good only because it is the "least ugly" car in the line.

To me it looks ugly.............too many weird shapes.
Out of all the Bangle designs, only the 7 series has really grown on me.

What is BMW waiting for????? Fire the guy already. It reminds me of the situation with Scott Layden runnning the NY Knicks into the ground, thank god he is gone.

Man, getting rid of Bangle is not going to be easy. Unless you want the resale values of all the bangles to go through the floor, showing ol' Chris the door would have to be done carefully to not admit that his designs are not very desirable. Of course, if the sales hit is due to lukewarm market reception, how long do you support him before you act? The board brought him in and handed the now-current generation over to him, and they will have to clean the mess up. Then they can address the reliability and value issues. Or they can just hope people remain willing to pay their prices. Marketing and brand envy have done wonders for them.
