Detailing products thread
Quick question on this and I did a search to gain an understanding of using something like what you have as a drying agent but I still don’t fully get it. Is it supposed to be easier or better than drying the car and then just using it on a dry car and how does the water on the car not dilute the product? Also, how do you know what products are to be used as a drying agent?
Lastly, this was a great idea for a new thread about different products that people use. I have bought several products that have been recommended and it has worked out well.

Any quick detailer or spray sealant will work as a drying aid.
That combo is probably good at hiding swirls and scratches on black though.
The X Factor in what you are doing is temporarily hiding swirls and marring on black, the glaze is doing that. Thats the only thing thats hard to do with a spray application. Just for grins last year I tried using Gyeon Wax which is an actual paste wax. The result was very nice but nowhere near worth the effort vs a spray product.
Lost my streak. Went to get some food and a snap thunderstorm happened and caught my silver W12. First time this year rain got me lol!
Im going to be to be trying it a drying aid and new towel, it's been a long while since I last washed the "daily" so I'll be contact cleaning the door closures etc
There is so many products and they always seem to be evolving / improving.
I've used the same products the past few years because the options are so immense it can get overwhelming lol.
1. Meguiars Ultimate wash and wax
2. Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray
3. Kirkland microfiber cloths
4. Rag company drying cloth (different model than what Steve used but same company). I love it, 1 cloth to dry the entire vehicle without needing to wring it out and only needs one pass on each panel to completely dry it.
5. Aerospace 303 for all plastics
6. Griots leather cleaner and the conditioner
7. LAs Totally Awesome All purpose cleaner for wheels and tires. Cheap and imo gets the job done as the expensive dedicated wheel cleaners.
Haven't found a tire shine I like yet after years of trying different ones. I'll try the one Steve recommended here.
For detailing I use:
1. Meguiars compound
2. Sonax black paint polish
3. Lake Country pads for the DA polisher
4. Adams iron remover
5. Meguiars clay bar

Mother’s Back to Black is great stuff. The name really says it all. Unlike armorall and similar products it does NOT require a reapplication so often that you’re sorry you bought it. Restores even ashy grey faded (formerly) black plastics.
If you like back to black you should try some of the new ceramic trim restorers. I don't have any exterior black plastic trim on my cars so no direct experience there though
On a six-figure vehicle, I would hope not....or even one at the Pacifica's price.

Thanks,
but cars, vehicles, and airplanes have been a big part of my life. ...although not so much lately with airplanes. I have had a lot to say about them over the years.
Unfortunately, because I am getting older, with weaker legs, I can't do as many reviews and test drives as I once did, nor attend auto shows regularly.Henry (rominl), bitkahuna, and Steve (SW17LS) also have a huge number of posts. At the rate Steve is going, I think he will catch up or surpass my total in a couple of years......ditto for bitkahuna.
