I'm struggling really hard to get on board with BMW's latest styling direction. I hope this will grow on me.

As a long time BMW fan and owner - it’s so sad what this brand has evolved to. I have ZERO interest in this car.

The styling is OK but the front is busy and has FWD proportions bec the hood is short. The interior is a ******* disaster!
Just noticed the seats - they look like they’re from a Chevy or econobox. Where are the amazing sport seats that are usually standard in all 3 series?

This is nothing but a copy of the Tesla Model 3 - I don’t see any BMW dna or heritage at all. If you remove the badges, it could be a BYD or Geely…..

Unfortunately- BMW will lose BILLIONS on this thing.

I think it's a great return to form. EVERYONE loves to dump on any new BMW that comes out, then after a few years they do a 180 and love it. Cough cough, Bangle era cars.

Back to the I3, I guarantee if you put a different badge on it, nobody would cry about it. And frankly, this looks 1000x better than the old i3, which was more akin to a Prius to any BMW of the time it came out.

I actually kind of like the front and rear view.

The side profile is an economy car. Might as well be a Corolla.

hate the interior, but I guess that's just where every car is going now.

They sold 70,000 of them last year in the US.

The 3 series is still popular, I see a lot of them. I suspect this one will sell pretty well.

The general public seems to be less resistant to BMW's modern styling than online enthusiasts.

I think it looks great and I also like the interior. The Neue Klasse cars are a home run, IMO.

Estimated price $50-$60K.... Hmmm.... The range is impressive, but other than that, not sure. I guess time will tell...

I don't know what that means but sounds good to me!
And, they have good colors, I know that for sure.

This is an EV 3series. I highly doubt it will sell well.

I don’t see much to differentiate from Tesla or Chinese EVs.

BMW should have leaned on its Bavarian qualities instead they made a car that’s like all the other EV sedans - jelly bean shape with huge screen inside 🤷‍♂️

Different proportions for the ICE version, which I believe will still be on CLAR.

I think it looks fantastic - gone are the overcomplicated styling cues, spectacularly ugly grilles of the ICE BMWs.

It scores very high on key EV features - 440 mile range , 800V architecture, very fast charging and looks great both inside and out.

I think it will sell amazingly well, just like the iX3 - (BMW can't keep up with the demand)

Here is a comparison between the EV and ICE 3 series

Is the 440 mile range BS or what? I think Teslas are at 300ish?

The **440-mile range is theoretically achievable under ideal test conditions, but not what you should expect in typical real-world driving.

A realistic expectation is:
~340–400 miles (550–640 km) in mixed real-world conditions
~270–350 miles (435–560 km) in cold Canadian weather or highway-heavy use

So the headline number is credible—but optimistic.
