I have seen no difference in Buicks vs other comparable cars. I had an Enclave as a rental for a week in FL a while back and it was no quieter inside than our Pacifica for instance, and they are similar vehicles at a similar price. Both are quiet inside, not LS/S Class level quiet but RX/ES level sure.
I had my garage door spring break the other day, so we were "trapped" in the garage lol. Got it repaired yesterday. My office is over the garage and my wife came home and the spring snapped while the door was closing, man that was a loud noise! I thought she had run into the house...

That spring should've lasted a life time of work.
Is everything built to break now days?
Yep, seems like it

Thats actually not the case. Those springs are rated for about 10,000 cycles and then they commonly break. We replace them all the time on properties. That door was replaced by the previous owner in 2017 and regular lifespan is about 10 years.
Finance company won't accept the AMEX card either. Can't pay debt with debt. You'd have to somehow buy it at the onset.
Dealers won't do it because of the fees, if you paid the fees you may as well pay interest the points wouldn't be worth it. Most dealers have like a $5k cc limit.
If I could put my lease payments on AMEX I would to get the points but its impossible. Well...there are third party services that do it for a fee but the fee makes it not worthwhile.
Oh yeah, I would do it for the points! My Dad bought our Explorer with his AMEX card back in 1995 lol. Then he financed it out.
Get the LC! I told you to get the R129 and I was right lol. You have the money, no kids...**** I would buy everything I wanted. I wouldn't know what to do with all the money haha
Lol we are kind of at that phase now, we live like we have 1/4 the income we do. The money just starts to pile up fast, with all my back issues the last 4 months the last thing I've worried about is money (and I'm very thankful).
The salesman is starting to annoy me saying all these people are interested in it which I don't really believe. I'd go down today and look at it but we got legit snow and I can't risk a fall in the ice trying to get into the car etc. etc. I'm doing so well with my physical therapy and progress, another setback would be devastating. Not worth it.
Yes you told me to get the R129 but you did tell me to skip it at first bc of no hard top ;-). But you changed your mind and so did I, and damn I'm glad that happened. I'd still like a hardtop but let's be real, how often would I really fuss with it? With my back issues? It looks killer though, but I wouldn't use it a lot. I'll still get one eventually.

Hook up a rope/pulley system to the garage ceiling to help you easily install/remove that hardtop. "Self storing" too!
Oh I hate the integrated style diaphragms, I'm convinced they switched to those solely to turn a $10 5 min fix into a multiple hundred dollar half day affair.
I pulled it out today for inspection and there are a good number of little tears in the diaphragm, so I'm 99% confident that's my white smoke/rough idle culprit.
New valve will be here on Tuesday. My tuner is also sending that new flex fuel chip so I can hopefully have that working as well.

if it's the obsidian then I don't think that's metallic. The caviar I had is though.
The listing said it was caviar which is why I said it was metallic but you never know with listings, could be wrong.

Agreed, the Porsche dealer would only do $5k on my credit card for the down payment with the remainder being a check.
10R80 doing 10R80 things Note presence of the threads for the fuel like bracket.... This is directly from ford, brand new trans WHERE ARE MY THREADS FORD?!?
I wonder if the book has a line item for me having to manually cut threads in.....
Ok. I'll finance w/no prepayment penalty. Interest rate? Dont care. As soon as the account is active, call in to the finance company and pay the balance...with the AMEX card. Points FTW! Then just move the cash over and pay the balance before you accrue interest on the card.
Modern problems require modern solutions.
No they don't, and your revised scheme won't work either. Almost no bank/finance company will accept a CC payment on a loan. The vanishing few that do, impose a hefty (3-3.5%) "convenience fee" which FAR outweighs any points benefit you would get.
