2nd Sequoia will give you 10+ yrs of reliability as long as you don’t let striker drive it😆

And I agree with you on Kia/Hyundai and GM products. Wouldn’t trust any of them to go to 10yrs especially or an additional 10yrs already used without issues.

How bout RX hybrid? Highlander hybrid?
Sequoias suck to drive though unless you need to do a task that requires one, mine is acting typical for the miles. Most owners just don't watch theirs as closely as I do not do they care about minor issues

good idea, but looking on autotrader, for under 30k, you can get a 2015 bottom trim with 75k miles. maybe ok if you like a really old car.

but the 2nd gen sequoia was really a great tank like large suv. it's too bad they didn't upgrade/update it sooner, and keep the very reliable v8.

good review of the last year here (2022). too bad the screen in this monster is only 7" LOL

Great functionality, horrible interiors and overall build quality. Love mine for tasks, might break 80k miles next year lol!

The air suspension is a must have to try and smooth things out, when towing its expectedly noticeable and convenient. Issue is that it leaks and costs $850 a bag vs $100 for euro brands, but we won't talk about that.....

Ford Ranger added it to their line up for 2025…always good to have more than a part-time option

I at least partly agree with Jill. For most buyers (and for many reasons), electronically-activated or full-time AWD/4WD, with a center differential, is a FAR better system than simple part-time 4WD that can only be used under some very limited conditions. Part-time systems cannot be used on dry pavement...and you don't always know exactly what is under your wheels at any one moment, on any given stretch of road, particularly at night even with good headlights.

Modern multi mode part times systems have an AWD mode with unlocked center diff.

As for most buyers etc I think that it's more reflective of the reality of how stupid people are with their approach to an item that costs dozens of the thousands of dollars and not reading the manual. That or how stupid they are full stop that they don't take a few minutes and learn anything to the point some of the most complex products have to cater to literal idiots.

2015 is 7 years newer than what i am daily driving now. LOL I just dont really need/want an SUV that size. my wife will be driving it occasionally and her daily is a 2018 CR-V. She can barely drive that because it's "too big" but she has gotten used to it.

SUV with front/rear parking sensors. 360 camera would be a nice bonus

We liked it better than the hunting for top gear ASAP RX350. We drove both back to back.

RX450h 30+mpg. Smooth.

Never taken above 100mph 🙃

Timing cover leak and control arms again. About $8,000 in repairs at Lexus. I am really just tired of having to fix my daily all the time. Its getting old (no pun intended).
