As I mentioned before, similar to Steve, PHEV would fit my family needs. I’m not at a point to plan around my car’s charging needs with a BEV. Which PHEV? We’re not there yet. Hopefully, by that time there will be better options with range and engine options.

Living in NYC, charging a BEV has its challenges. I would love to have one but I also have the challenge of convincing my wife and daughter. They took an Uber a while back and it was a M3. They both got sick probably due to regen braking. So now, all EVs are bad.

Was watching this review of the GLC350e, I really like this vehicle and with 55 miles of EV range this is a great option IMO, something honestly I would consider:

I saw this video a couple of days ago and was wishing the GLC350e had been available when I bought our X3. I would have seriously considered it.

I have had a couple GLC300s and really like them, the 4cyl even feels good in it. If I could get around daily on just EV on a GLC350e, for $75k or so fully loaded thats a compelling option for me considering I really only spend 15 minutes twice a day in the car anymore. Honestly I like the GLC better than the GLE.

From Car & Driver

“When the charge runs out, though, another dichotomy rears its head. Without its e-parts pulling their weight, the GLC350e acts like what it is—a GLC300 that's down on power and carrying 700-plus pounds of ballast.”

This is not the case with Lexus/Toyota PHEVs. “Depleted” battery = you lower your 0-60 by 3 seconds or more.

Save $20k+ and pick up 2026 GR RAV4 Sport. If you’re feeling fancy, RX450H+ or a much larger TX550h+ for same price as GLC350e

No interest In a Rav 4 personally, or a TX. Not for me personally to drive. I would much prefer it be mated to the 6 cyl.

I just picked up today, a 2026 MB GLC 350e Alpine Grey/AMG Neva Grey MB-Tex/AMG Line Package/Exclusive Line $70,555
This is replacing my wife's 2023 Audi Q5 Sport back, which I totaled 2 weeks ago when a deer jumped a divider and hit the front of the car.
The lease was ending in Dec and my wife wanted to get back in a Mercedes.
I wanted her to go full electric but that was asking too much.
I'm so glad I got her in a phev.
This thing is a beaut and has great electric range.
Will try and post some pics tomorrow.

Lease was $690/month with MSDs, 10k miles, 36 mos, only 1st months payment. Got $1600 service plan for free

I've seen damage a deer can do, glad you weren't hurt. Congrats

Great choice. The interior is luxurious and well built. EV only range is top of class for an PHEV.
