Faster is not Faster lol
Go drive a GT3 RS vs 911 Turbo S - Turbo S is significantly faster but will not feel like it. Its a GT car, not a raw performance car. Just drive them back to back. For a road trip, Turbo S all day but for track, back roads/mountains/canyons - the RS is way better. You will NOT be able to drive the Turbo S faster in those situations.
GT3RS is like a musical instrument and sounds amazing over 4k rpm.
A manual can’t shift like the PDK.
Im telling you launching this thing from a stop is just an unbelievable experience that you can’t do with a manual going through the gears.
I do like Manuals as well and my Mach 1 with the Tremec is the best manual i have experienced. To me its more of a cruiser.
I have tried both (prior Gen GT3) and I would always take the turbo S because it's a faster car that can perform better and beats the GT3 on track in literally every test.
The turbo feels much faster on the hit and anytime you go for the throttle and it is more composed the whole time.
I do not like how the flat 6 sounds at all, the GT3 is passable but nothing like a screaming 10 or 12 or even just a high rev flat plane 8.
I just hope it's priced in attainable territory for me (at least when used) like it's closest competitor the AMG GT 63. I will be sad if it is over 200k. That interior looks like a supercar though and it's extreme body style makes me lose hope of an attainable price.
The rumored LFR, which is now a Toyota badged product, was designed to be a more accessible supercar whose bones are designed to spur more models in the lower price tiers (the usual trickle down design). Initially though the internal program and/or discussion was suppose to be 500k territory/LFA replacement, but ultimately you cant water down that chassis without loosing the bits that make it special (regardless of the technical possibility).
Interesting to also see Morizo/GR/Toyota takeover the current rcf gt3s programs.

Completely disagree 🤣
There is a reason demand and prices for GT3s are much higher than comparable Turbo S models.
Also an RS performs on a different level vs regular GT3.
Definitely drive one.

Im not interested, I don't want a car that underperforms for more money and is difficult to just outright buy. It's also not something as suited for all situations and again, I dislike the engine and that's a dealbreaker. If they offered a version with the turbo S engine and AWD that is what I would get if I picked a 6 for some reason
Is anyone excited for this car? This thing needed to come out in 2017.
Potential consumers know next to nothing about this car. Will it be sold under the Toyota or Lexus brand? Will it be mass-produced or made in extremely limited quantities that are just enough to satisfy the homologation requirements? Will it be $400K or $150K? Will it even make it to production, or suffer the same last-minute cancellation as its other Toyota racing brethren?
He recorded a single base hit on the Ram!! Swing and a miss on everything else!! 🤣
Well, no. I called it with Mercedes as well about V8s about 3 years ago before you were even here after seeing that they had no future ICE platforms planned....that's what they actually claimed. Now that whole entire disaster of an EQ line is scrapped and there's a new V8 coming out.
I said GM wouldn't ever stop making V8s and they're not. Others disagreed.
I said regulations were about to be rolled back and energy would go down because we're about to unleash shytloads of ours before the election which I called 100% as well, all 3 things. WH and, Senate and House (and we did unleash energy). It's down 30 cents from last year, not huge but it's decent. That's not to be political I'm just saying.
I said that virtually every single automaker would go back on their word about going electric.... and they all did.
I said EVs wouldn't ever truly take off and they never have. Unless you count 8% of sales, the majority of those to wealthy people in warm areas.
And I'm predicting now that we will get some decent engines back moving forward.

My bad. Guess we better hold on to the ones that we have because majority of them aren’t returning anytime soon it seems. GM needs to retool their V8. It doesn’t appear to be a good long term reliable engine like they were pre AFM.
EVs are like cell phones. They’re good until the newest model comes out a year later
