Don't know the exact years but some Prius engines blow head gaskets, every one will fail eventually. I see a bunch of them at the salvage yards for this reason.
And EGR failures.....plus oil consumption from the rings sticking. If you floor it though it will avoid that, heavy foot prevents the ring lockup funny enough.
I will say my Jeep is winning the reliability battle vs anything mentioned so far. Most of you have over 100k to go to tie it haha!

It has the option if we’re walking up to the vehicle it will unlock all the doors without touching anything. It senses the key fob or the digital key. I have that option disabled.
I googled comfort access on the Bimmer G07 forum and I haven’t seen anyone mention comfort access being available. We’re running iDrive 8.5
So you disabled the full passive system and are complaining........

Forgot about that. Toyota knew exactly how to make oil control rings and pistons but then somehow lost the ability.
Oh come on, what's the point of the car if you aren't using all it has lol! I've literally never taken any of my cars out and NOT used max power
I guess if I had to race you, I would have no choice but to go all the way to the floor 🤣
Normally it's just not needed. I have gone all the way to the floor in the Polestar a few times to show my coworker what it could do, and once with my wife in the car, and she threatened to hit me if I did it again 😞

Amen to that! The drive is so much better in an X3/5/7 it's truly no comparison
Drove a brand new X5 M40i yesterday and it almost felt had to give it little more throttle and it was a little louder under throttle. I’m comparing this to the X7.

From my understanding this is how it works on the X7 with that feature enabled, when you get within range all doors will unlock. Let’s say I’m walking by and don’t necessarily want to go inside the car but the key/my phone is in my pocket, the doors will unlock. Ok now I have to lock again or enable the auto lock walk away feature. First world problems.
Lexus/toyota keep it simple. You want to get in the backseat and the door is locked, pull on that door’s handle. Tap the door handle to lock when walking away.

You’re not the only one. I don’t floor my vehicles often. Remember one time my wife and I were riding in the C7 Z06 and I gave it 75% throttle and she was not happy. Even now in my Honda if I shift at 4k+ in 2 consecutive gears she will ask while am I driving so fast. In the Supra, I drive in comfort mode with her. In sport mode it pops and bangs when slowing down and she said why is it making that noise. 🤦♂️ Honey just go to sleep.

Interesting, I was wondering what this was, at first I thought you were pulling screen shots from past threads. I would report this to the admins

Makes sense from a design standpoint, 90% of all engine pumping losses are from rings so if you cut that by 30% it's MASSIVE for both power and mpg. Issue is you need to remind people to actually use the engines power or they will lock up......the rings need the higher combustion temps/pressure of higher output levels to not stick.

Meanwhile my wife gets mad if I back off at "only" 120 haha!
