Toyota Motor posts nearly 28% drop in third-quarter
Interesting, I was wondering what this was, at first I thought you were pulling screen shots from past threads. I would report this to the admins
The Prius will go on forever. My coworker has a l believe 2012 with nearly 200k. He uses it as his hauler. Interestingly enough, his low voltage battery is going bad, and it's designed to only be replaced by an OEM battery, which is expensive. So he put a 12v battery from one of his Porsches in the back and cabled it to the existing lv battery, and everything is working better than before
I'd be shocked if the comfort access isn't available on the X7. My G30 5 series from 2017 has comfort access, thought it is an option rather than standard.
The issue with ze germans is that they have to have a bunch of decontented cars to lease on the cheap to people who probably shouldn't be buying luxury cars but really really want to be able to say they drive a BMW/Merc/Audi.
i see toyota's problem more as a supply and philosophy problem. they have short time on lots and higher atp's because there's so few for sale typically, those who want 'em pay whatever, and grab 'em as soon as possible.
example, someone wants a loaded prius or rav4 prime. good luck. a red one with orange seats shows up on the lot with a few options missing? fine, grab it.
i think their 'just in time' way is just too cautious. people like to see a variety of cars on the lot at dealers or otherwise be able to get what they want quickly (tesla).
and here in florida toyota/lexus sells through a distributor which makes availability even worse.

Is the profit drop related mostly to the yen being weakest its been thus far?

Boring might not be the enthusiast choice, but I guess thats want 475k customers demanded from a mfg and voted with their wallet.
That being said, I do think 2nd generation of all TNGA products are really addressing style and driving characteristics. The camry I drove a couple days, rental special, actually felt dare I say connected to the road. Hoping the 26 R4 shares the same mo.

Yeah something's not right there. My 2011 E90 doesn't have comfort access, but it was an option. And that was 15 years ago on a 3-series. It's standard on even the little 228i now.

So can you lock and unlock your 540 from the rear doors? On the X7 I have to tap the front passenger door handle if I want to unlock/lock the rear doors. Same on my Honda. On the Rav I can lock/unlock from either door. It was same on the LX as well.
Unless it’s a setting in the menu I have to enable. I would have to look again. A lot of things weren’t enabled that I was used to for example like auto parking brake. I had to enable it in the menu. Only thing I don’t like is it auto enables the parking brake when you turn the car off. On the Rav/LX the parking brake auto enables whenever you shift to park.
I googled comfort access on the Bimmer G07 forum and I haven’t seen anyone mention comfort access being available. We’re running iDrive 8.5
You would almost never need to floor the Ioniq 5 or Model Y. If you have to go halfway, you are going way, way too fast. So my wife is scared to floor either of them. Yesterday a coworker and myself decided on whim to test drive a Model S, and I never even once went more than half way because we would hit the 85 MPH limit they imposed on it in seconds. Same with my current Model 3, I don't think I've gone more than half on the throttle
