The 1GS used to make these lists largely because it was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and many considered the design to be ahead of its time. The cars are invisible now. It’s rare to see one on the road at all and the ones you do see are usually pretty beat. In contrast, there are still quite a number of nicely cared for 1SCs especially here in SoCal. In my opinion, the styling of the 1SC has aged better than the 1GS.
idk if 'beautiful' really applies to ANY lexus model... with the exception of the LFA and LC lexuses are always very function over form, aka the opposite of things like alfa romeo, jaguar, and maserati (to name a few)
like a fine mechanical watch though i do think there's beauty to be found in the places people never actually get to see... a totally exposed minty fresh 1UZ for instance is basically pornographic to me lol
the car itself is certainly handsome and stately, obviously very well thought out and executed but they clearly didn't take any big styling risks

i really don't think the 1st or 2nd gen GS are particularly good looking, 3rd gen though does everything right 👌
I've honestly never thought the GS F was that good-looking. If it were me, I would have put the refreshed RC on the list instead, specifically the F.
Agreed on the 2022 IS 500, or really, just the 2021+ IS in general. This is one of the best looking iterations of the spindle grille IMO. It went from being one of the uglier cars Lexus has made (I owned one, but I am going to be honest) to be one of the nicest. The looks alone were a big reason why I went back to the IS after trading out of my 2016.
Me? They came on the car when it was new. They were on the window sticker.
Oh, that's great. I thought the silver wheels were standard unless you got one of the limited editions (but maybe that was only a first-year limitation?).
