Some interesting possibilities for the ES if Lexus refreshes the sedan for the 2026 model year, based on a report published in 'Magazine X' which was turned into a YouTube video by Kirk Kreifels. I'm most interested in finding out if we do indeed get all three hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric variants.
I would be shocked if the ES gets any electric variant if the RX didn't.
As for Kirk, I'm surprised that Automotive News hasn't sued him yet for sharing their paywalled articles to his thousands of followers each video to make a profit.
ES is definitely not getting an electric variant. Beyond the UXe, all Lexus EVs should be riding on their own EV platforms, be it e-TNGA or something else.
Mag-X is only slightly better than Best Car, if only because they don't usually come up with imaginary enthusiast delusions of grandeur about Toyota or Mazda magically leapfrogging everyone in the universe.

BMW and Hyundai Genesis do not in same instances. They look good. Unlike the Mercedes EQS or EQE that do lot look so great.
I would rather have a great looking EV with compromised range than have a bad looking EV that goes farther

It's been 6 years, it's time for an all-new generation of ES. But given that the new generation Camry is essentially a refresh, I guess the ES will be as well. I wonder if they will go down to a single hybrid engine like the Camry or also offer the T24A in replacement of the 2GR which certainly won't continue on.

I think we have a pretty good idea of what the next ES's powertrains will be, based on the Crown and RX.
I agree. I think the next Gen ES will just be luxury version of the Crown and the Crown Wagon. Will have nothing to do with the Camry. Exclusively made in Japan

They were quite accurate, bar the front end, of the IS's body surfacing and window line with that 2018 render as well as the rear trunk to C pillar relation. And regarding the V8 we all know per CM1 that it was intended for the LS but canned during the pandemic. Just because something they were reporting didn't materialize doesn't necessarily mean it was untrue.
