Warranty
I had my Lexus ES 300h at the end of decembre 2023 and I believed it was under warranty. I was talking to the dealer's garage and I found out that some parts are not covered by the warranty. I undersatnd that some materials can not be under warranty, such oil, filters, brake pads, etc. but I am told that the original whells that came on the car are not covered either. This is odd, because when I bought rims and winter tires they are coveed by a warranty, the difference is that I bought those from other stores, not from Lexus. I have already an experience, as I am sure that anybody has, with things I bought and that precisely the part that broke was not covered by the warranty, so that in order to prevent the same to happen with Lexus I asked the garage person to give me a list with the parts that are not covered by the warranty, so that I know prior to going see them and prevent to hear that, bad luck, exactly wat broke is not covered. He told me that they can not provide such a list, because there are thousends of parts in this situation. I said, "oh my God, this is so bad, thousends of things that broke in my car and no warranty" ? Fact is that I am very disappointed to have this situation. He also asked if I have a prolonged warranty, which made me tell him that I do really not understand how comes to prolong a warranty that I do not have at all ! In order to have a prolonged warranty I should have a basic one in the first place, wich I don't have. So if i want some warranty I must pay extra. This looks like a pattern with Lexus, you must pay, pay and pay some more ! Strange politics, good for Lexus, bad for the customers ! So much for customer "care" ! Maibe care to take all their money, or more ! Now I told him that their politics pushes me away from making maintenance and repair in their garage but this did not seem to bother him at all.

Typically, wheels and tires that come on the car from new are not covered by manufacturer warranty, unless...
With all that said, what happened to your wheels and tires?
- You bought an aftermarket "road hazard" warranty or "wheel and tire" warranty from the dealership.
- The original tires (not wheels) have a factory warranty on them. Typically, there would be some paperwork somewhere in the vehicle indicating as much.
