350Z getting some nice upgrades for 2004...
From AutoWeek this week, it says the 2004 350Z will get a bunch of interior upgrades (like fixing the flimsy console cover), and improved suspension and brakes. Pretty cool!

So far, had the car for 2 months and some change and I couln't be happier. Yes the interior sux, but with some 2 tone custom leather, an awsome 2 din HU from Japan and some dynamat, and I am good too go. I have a GS4 modded and have not regreted my new toy. The car handles like no other and the power is more than sufficient and has the same toqueness and power as our GS's, compared too say an S2k or RX-8. The car gets looks like you would not believe and it has been my every day beater. The G35 is a gr8 alternative if you are looking at more of a 4 seater and luxury.

Bit, actually it's so miniscule, no one will notice. The flimsy cover stays flimsy unless u get NAV, then it's power operated. Some rings around the gauges get a softer plastic look. And kneepads added. And the EURO spec suspension is standard, which the Europeans love. Improvements are improvements though.
Far East Peek: Nissan makes running changes to 2004-model 350Z

NISSAN WILL FOLLOW UP its successful launch of the 350Z coupe and roadster with a series of running changes that will appear on 2004-model Zs now arriving in U.S. showrooms. Nissan already incorporated most of the changes into Japan-market Zs, including significant interior upgrades, suspension tuning and brake system improvements.
Inside, Nissan focuses first on the front and center console, specifically the flimsy, manually operated upper instrument panel compartment cover. The new lid is more robust, with power operation on cars with satellite navigation. The center console, gauge hoods and instrument pods get a special “soft-feel” treatment intended to inject a touch of higher quality into the interior.
And how about this for those road warriors who’ve grown weary of bruised extremities: ’04 Zs come with cushy kneepads for both driver and passenger, and the driver’s right elbow even gets its own special padding on the center console. Further interior updates include the addition of seatbelt “service arms” that eliminate the need to reach far behind the seatback to grab the belts, and a redesigned shifter for automatic models.
2004 models also benefit from Nissan’s decision to adopt a Euro-tuned suspension setup for all 350Zs, a handling setup that Nissan says provides a much better ride and better overall suspension compliance. The Brembo brake system gets tandem brake master cylinders replacing the earlier model’s single cylinder.

I was in the Nissan dealer last week getting my winter beater (Sentra) serviced and I could not help but drool on the 350Z ...........
It already has an STB in the engine bay and that cool STB in the rear is something else. The colors are just amazing too - burnt orange, liquid aluminium, daytona blue ...............
I just love the Z and any improvements they make to it will just icing on the cake. I have not driven one yet. I need to drive into the dealership with my GS so that they don't laugh at me if I ask for a test drive!
