I'm telling you, get behind the wheel of an M2, M3, M4 Comp or BMW....I'm mean Toyota Supra , you don't need a V8. Although the 4.0L M3 is pretty amazing, to many problems with that engine
And once you try the V8s you realize how much you have been missing lol!
I've driven a few. But I would be totally fine with a proper 6 as well, but I know what you mean, it's hard to go back
Yeah, I started with a 6.0 V8 so the smallest I've ever gone is a 4.0 I-6......I like I-6s in general as well since they have great low end and are linear.
My experiment is my diesel 4cyl, the only reason I'm ever trying is because it's a manual and diesel. Normally I wouldn't ever consider a 4
The BMW V8s have always been problematic and as awesome as they are I'm not sure I would want one over a B/S58 since you can get the latter in nearly anything. In Mercedes/Audi world it's M176/8 and EA824/825 all day if we exclude the V/W12s but the M275 has some serious serviceability issues.
Insane accident near my neighborhood. The GLE tried to turn left but had its nose rammed through by a car in the opposite lane going at least 45 mph. The fact that the cabin is still intact and the front windshield didn't even crack is pretty impressive on Mercedes's part.

Indiana, huh? I would have never guessed in a million years

You started in the V8 world pretty early. My first car at 16 was a 75 Rabbit with 70 HP. Moved on to a 1.8L GTi with 100 HP. I did drive my dad's 79 Buick Le Saber with a 350 V8 for a bit in college after I destroyed the trans in the GTI . My first real car I bought myself was a 1976 Mercedes 280S with an inline 6, four barrel carburetor (remember those?), blew the head gasket a few years later, bought a Chevy Cavalier Z24 with a 2.8L V6 at an auction with a whopping 160 HP, and a couple of years later traded it for a 1995 Corolla with a 5 speed manual. It was all Toyotas and Lexus from there. Except for rentals, the car with the biggest engine I've owned was the IS350 Sport. But I've driven everything from a 2017 Lambo Huracan to Charger RT. I've also driven cars like the LC500, RCF etc
Wish I had the picture of the Lambo. I rented it in Dubai, but I brought throw away phone because I was afraid my current phone would be lost or stolen
