Most people simply wait for their mechanic to tell them it's time for tires - well, that it is time for anything. And, even then, as we see all the time, people will decline repair or replacement if they don't have the money, sadly...

Customer wants me to figure out why car gets slidey in the rain....I say it's tires, they say it still has tread.

Ask the customer what their theory is, since they've already eliminated the only part of the car that actually touches the ground.

It looks like the tires are down to the tread bars.

Gee, I wonder what else the car needs that the owner doesn't believe. Lol

Oil I guess since it was off the stick but "the light wasn't on" aka the "replace engine light" lol!

He is a kid of a customer though so we are working on understanding things like oil and tires with him. He is understanding it better
