Default Buick totally redesigns the 2025 Enclave.

Check out the all-new 2025 Enclave, Buick's American-market flagship. This is some interior, especially on the Avenir version. It also has more room inside than before.

A little too big for my driving-needs, though.....I like the size and layout of the Encore GX.

Joe Raiti is also a big fan of the new Avenir:

I have always liked these cars.

I think they look good.
And, they appear to be about the size of my RX330.

The Enclave is absolutely ginormous compared to your RX. 20 inches longer, 6 wider and 4 taller, with seating for seven and a solid amount of cargo space. The Enclave is the same underlying vehicle as the Chevy Traverse, which in the latest redesign looks like a slightly shrunken Tahoe.

This is a huge improvement IMO, and this is the first vehicle I have seen wearing the new Buick styling language that I think looks good. This I would consider...just wish it had a 6 cyl.

They might do an electric version in a few more years....which could address your dissatisfaction with the turbo-4.

But then I would have to charge it on trips, which is a big issue. We are a long way off from our family vehicle being an EV.

I think you said, in a previous post, didn't you, that you know where the I-66 / 81 / 64 EV-charging stations are on the way to Beckley?

There are two non Tesla ones, thats it. None on 64. Opening up Tesla stations will help.

BUT, we travel other places in the van. We go to NJ all the time, we go to Albany, we go to Ocean City and drive around for a week with nowhere to charge it. Having to charge it while traveling like that and staying in peoples homes and places without charging isn't attractive. My car gets driven locally, and then to WV a couple times a year and maybe to NJ if we drive up separately if I need to work or something. Transitioning that car to EV is much easier than the family car.

Plus, what do I do with two kids and a dog sitting art a charger for 35 minutes? No thanks. PHEV makes way more sense for that vehicle.

Oh, I agree that PHEV makes a lot more sense (I'm hoping for a hybrid Encore GX myself)...but getting Buick management to agree is quite another matter. There are signs, though, that the all-EV-conversion by 2030 (?) might be on hold or cancelled...especially considering that demand for EVs is down (see the Tesla-layoff thread I just posted).

Stop for lunch?

I bet the new Buc-ees coming next year to I-81 could kill 35 minutes easily?

Not the part of 81 I travel, its going to be further south. What about the dog?

For me just traveling by myself thats what I would do...but with the whole family and the dog its different.

As a several-time-repeat customer, I've run into this problem before. Buick's website is notoriously slow about getting information about their upcoming and next-model-year vehicles....particularly with prices, specs, colors, options, trim-packages, Build-Your-Own feature, etc... They have photos posted of the new 2025 Enclave in the website, but little else. Same with the new 2025 Encore GX and Envista, which, according to the gmauthority site, are (supposedly) are now in production as of April 1.

https://gmauthority.com/blog/2023/12...on-will-start/

But, as of today, April 18, there is NOTHING on Buick's web-site yet about the 2025 Encore GX or Envista, and, like I said, only one or two pictures of the new Enclave. And the Buick 1-800 Customer phone numbers are essentially worthless....all those people tell you is that
"I'm sorry...that information is not available yet." They don't (or can't) tell you WHY that information is not available or posted yet, when it WILL be available, nor do they connect or transfer you, even if you ask to be transferred, to the people upstairs who DO know why it is not available, or are in a position to amend the web site and MAKE it available. Frustrating.

Buick probably still has lots of existing inventory to clear out and don't want to further give people pause by touting a bunch of 2025 model year info just yet.

Although I am not one of them, many people still want to save money by going with a leftover end-of-year model...that is why you often see factory-rebates or finance-deals on them. Those people will always be around.........I don't see that as a reason to put the brakes on new-model info.
