And that is really the thing and the most succinct and intelligent answer.
These guys live and die by clicks and there is no reliable feed-back loop for honesty, integrity, or accuracy.
Chris Fixx, Scotty Kilmer, etc., etc. - if you really know cars that crap gives you an almost instant aneurysm. Eventually, there should be a market for someone with knowledge, experience, and integrity.
In fact in a truly just world, Scotty Kilmer would have been by now sentenced to death, and drawn and quartered. Much like Tupac Amaru II.
ugh... i HATE his voice, his words, his videos, just terrible. and in that one you provided a link to i see he criticizes a ROLLS ROYCE because he dislikes the words in the brochure and proceeds to say that german **** tells you why the brochure is so bad.

he's not for everyone (very blunt and seems kinda burned out) but he's super knowledgeable and i like it when he uses some wicked humor. and his cinematography and editing are absolutely spectacular. i think jack is a good balance for mark too.

not sure what you mean by no reliable feedback look for honesty integrity or accuracy... isn't that what comments,subscribers,likes/dislikes are for, plus patreon and other ways to thank youtubers?
as for scotty kilmer, i guess neanderthals like his style, but he's awful. but we have to remember the kind of television and other videos that are very popular.

harsh, but funny.
i'm tired of all the dumb drag race videos, but mat watson (carwow) has done very well with them... he's the most clicked youtube car personality.

He's gotta get paid somehow. These titles are probably algorithm approved, as I saw similar titles all over Youtube. I'm sure he gets way more views with them.
The absolute worst is that Regular Car Review guy. Painfully unfunny and puts on an annoying voice in his reviews. Just horrible.
From what I've seen, Scotty Kilmer and Jeremy Clarkson are the worst car reviewers. Clarkson is too much of a comedian, and Scotty rambles on and on at full-volume, often waving his arms...although he has toned at least some of that down in his newer videos.

That's insulting to Clarkson. Clarkson is a great writer and performer, and also never pretends to take himself that seriously. Scotty meanwhile is a fake guru and snake oil salesman in the same vein as Jordan Belfort.

If that's how you see him, fine. You're entitled to your view....but I'm going to disagree. I see him as somebody who (usually) tries to mix too much comedy/sarcasm with his reviews, and that, IMO, is not properly or accurately reviewing vehicles. Most people don't want to hear jokes when they are deciding on a new vehicle....they want to know just what they are getting. And that's where Alex Dykes comes in with his consistently excellent reviews.

I can't comment on Belfort, as I have not watched his videos, but, yes, Scotty's videos leave a lot to be desired. One of the problems is that he constantly changes his mind on what brands (and individual vehicles) he likes and disses. He says one thing one day and something else the next...might as well toss darts at a board.

In all fairness, though, Clarkson, some years ago, DID make one review that I thought was pretty good. It did not deal with the review of any specific vehicle, but with the general rise and fall of the British auto industry. He was very sober and serious in this video, and did not clown around.
