What quirks does your car have?
You forgot brake pads and tires.
Good point, though I'd consider wearing out my brake pads to be a net benefit. Then I can replace them with some that don't emit a continuous cloud of brake dust.
Back on topic, though this isn't a quirk of an individual car, the two cars I drive most often have two frequently-used controls reversed. Our Q7 has the start button on the dash and the volume **** on the center console (a location I've grown to significantly prefer), while my M3 has the volume **** on the dash and the start button on the center console. Still throws me for a loop when I switch back and forth.

The Lexus UX has the volume control on the center console, doesn't it?
One quirk on my Tundra is the steering wheel mounted radio controls. I feel that they got them backward. Volume controls, to go UP or DOWN, require switch movements to the left or right. Yet to go to the next track, you go UP, not to the RIGHT. That seems backward to me. I'd prefer you go up/down to turn the volume up/down, and go left/right to go back a track or to the next one.

Speaking of the Q7 my business partner leased a 2023 Q7 last summer and after driving home with the car he realized it didn’t have remote start and he told me you couldn’t get remote start from the factory. Sure enough, I looked it up and finally in the 2024 model years they added remote start to the app. How does a tier 1 brand not have something basic like that?

Short answer: they never had it because they had a superior system.
They don't like external access to that pat of the canbus, it was just never a thing and it's a pain to add/you literally need to leave a key inside the car for any add on system to work. The other reason is because usually Audis had factory equipped parking heater systems that drew on the fuel tank to not only keep the engine ready to start but also pre-condition the entire interior to your requested spec via a menu built directly into the MMI......however that's something you never saw over here. Logic being it worked more effectively than a remote start and there is no risk of engine issues/wear from cold starting and you don't use nearly as much fuel to achieve a better end effect.

Weird quirk for my car, there are no track forward or back buttons. On the steering wheel you can skip forward or back only if the album art is displayed in the IP and you skip forward by swiping down on the left thumb pad.
I know heat works better, in summer even my black A8 cools so fast I've never really actually thought about that.....it needs about 5 seconds to start blowing a lot of cold air to all 4 zones. If you have the solar roof it runs the fans when you are away to keep hot air out though, you can also drop all windows with the key as you walk to the car to vent air that way.
I find that very odd too. IMO their system is a bit complicated. What about the wipers? Is that considered a quirk too? I hope one day they get this resolved. At least their Auto works. Other than that, MB is still one of my favorite brands.

BMW was late to the game as well offering remote start. It wasn't available on the 5 series until the LCI in 2021, I believe. My 17 doesn't have it.
