Charging in cold weather/range
That could also be from the last software update where they made some changes in range calculation. My Polestars estimated range also dropped from 230 miles at 90 percent to 220 miles. The Polestar had an up update that now calculates your range based on your driving style
There are gas cars stranded all over the place here. Auto parts stores and service centers are jammed with people. Don't be a dummy, plan your trips make sure the tank is full or the EV is charged before you venture out.
From the video some of the chargers weren’t working and/taking longer to charge. One guy stated a 45 min charge took 2hrs.
I jumped several cars the last few days. 1 refused to start at all possibly frozen fuel lines are maybe no spark was too cold to diagnose. Auto service centers have turned into zoos, gas cars have so many cold weather problems I'm very happy to have the Tesla.
Look, this all I'm going to say. If I lived in an area that reached negative temps, I'd be staying home
. I have relatives that live in NJ, and when the weather turns bitter cold, they tell me they don't go out, schools close and they work from home. And they have SUV's.
weather extremes will wreak havoc on most machines, electrical equipment, and both electric or gas driven vehicles

I have a neighbour that is a fitness freak he jogs with dumbbells. Ran into him 2 days ago -30 something still out there jogging.
You get used to it. Plus humidity is low unlike Jersey. In the summer when it rains temperatures go up.

Are you going to replace your gas cars with EVs?
Schools only close here if driving conditions make travel hazardous. We closed today because the light snow from yesterday got some rain and was icing up the roads. We also had a bunch of leftover snow days the last 2 years so they probably wanted to just use some up.
Unrelated note, Out of Spec did a cold weather idling challenge with a Model S with a warm battery and Model 3 that was cold soaked from parking outside. Consumption in 1 hour with simulated traffic and -10F weather was 3kWh for the S and 8 for the 3. Simulated traffic was slow speed (1-10 mph) with cabin temps set at around 72. I didn't watch the whole video because he likes to talk, but I did hear 72F mentioned earlier on.
