i think tesla's got a real competitor on its hands
Not according to some European reviews I've read and seen. That's a matter to be seen. I also think they are ways off from entering the US market. After tariffs and getting them compliant for the US market, they won't be priced competitively. But again, that remains to be seen

Globally, they have already have the number one spot for EV's sold. I've heard from a couple of members from Europe on the Polestar forum that it has buggy software, and a very annoying crash mitigation system, and it's always throwing speed warnings. Those issues will be fixed, but I doubt that they will be a threat to Tesla in the near future. But again, we'll have to see

did you actually watch the video and see their conclusions?
Unfortunately, nobody is buying Byd, Nio or Xpeng in Europe, they need to heavily drop the pricing.
MG is selling great, at lower price.
Competition definitely heating up. I was just in New Zealand and saw a BYD dealership (decent number of cars out front, cool looking designs) and also a tour guide we had one day told me about MG gaining in popularity there. I had no idea MG was even in the game.

MG outsells all other Chinese players outside of China.
In Europe only MG sells really well, Byd is trying some premium strategy and it is not working.
Sooner they go MG way, better for them... And neither is competition for Tesla.
