I've never heard Nakamiichi but it rocked I heard.

LS430 Mark Levinson is 240 watts, regular Pioneer I have is 178. Like I said, it's a great base system. Comes with a sub and all.

I think a brand has standards. Lexus vehicles used to never have fake wood. I don't think fake wood belongs in a luxury vehicle.

in the benz you can actually turn the volume all the way up, i'm not saying you can't in the LS but it will be painfully loud lmao... i think i might've ever done that like once and i got so startled i near instantly lowered it back to like 1/4 volume

what i've never figured out is how that system with "only" 215 watts can produce such magic
You should have heard the Nakamichi...

think his name's jim but here it's @Kansas , anyway he once described the difference between the two: he said the pioneer had a more clear digital sound, whereas the nakamichi had more of a warm analogue sound... either way i don't doubt the magnificence of the nakamichi

these days though i'm happier to have the pioneer being that nakamichi no longer really exists lol

so what is your point in stating my viewpoint is not common?

to me, it's you saying "well you don't go along with the herd, so you must be wrong".

Those are real wood veneers on a backing of, probably, aluminium.

I was originally quoted 16 months, now it'll be 7 by the time the car is estimated to get to the dealer. SWB Autobiography w/V8.

My point was to say most people seem to like it. If you felt I was saying you were wrong that’s in your own head.

The LWB is so cool inside for the rear seats, full on executive pack is fantastic. Massage, recline, full power everything and a fridge etc....

Not sure if you would bother but it's really a nice place to hang out if you have people you like a lot who often come along lol!

Saw a brand new Sequoia TRD in white, he was driving quickly and we ended up next to each other at a light.....the V6 doesn't sound terrible actually.

They look really good. But the vehicle is very poorly executed. Bizzare that Toyota went back to solid axle when they had IRS

Toyota should have just imported the Land Cruiser 300 in multiple trims

Real wood (you really thought an R129 has fake wood?), it's actually special colored dark bc of Silver Arrow. It's high quality, HVAC and radio are embedded in a huge chunk of wood that looks very substantial.

Im certainly not trading mine for a new one, it's a regression in so many ways I have no interest.
