I'm sure you did this, but either shut down the Tesla app completely and relaunch, or shut off Bluetooth and turn it back on. That's worked for me on the rare occasions when the phone wouldn't connect

 

Technology is great when it works. This is why some people prefer good old fashion 🗝️s.

 

So using a flip phone is better than using a Smartphone? Using a street Atlas to navigate over using Google Maps (or Apple Maps) is better? "Good old fashion" is just code for "I can't handle change"

I do miss having a keycard like I did with my Lexus. It was slim and compact, like a thicker credit card, and slid in my pocket. I never needed the fob. My EQS, however, has a heavy fob but no keycard or digital key, at least on my 450 trim.

i recently got my first iphone after forever with android. few reasons:
apple finally got forced into usb-c
i already have ipad and mac
android phones feel slow unless fresh installed
and it just seemed like it would be easier to have same ecosystem across it all (and it is) although i still use my google apps, some of which work better on iphone than android!
i then got the watch ultra 2 as well, and that's amazing.
finally did a payment with the watch recently... felt cool.

 

You've probably owned the wrong Android phone .

Though admittedly iPhones hardware is second to none and their software is lighter and slicker, I don't like being locked in their ecosystem and being forced to do things "their way", or the highway. I have a lot of experience using their interface, and Im not a fan.

After getting my hands on a OnePlus a few years ago, I'm hooked. Powerful processors, big screens, large amounts of memory and huge amounts of storage. Also Oxygen OS is custom built, very lean and responsive. It's also regularly updated by OnePlus.

If OnePlus ever goes out of business, maybe than I'll consider an iPhone

 

I remember being at work and we had to make a phone call. 3 smart phones. All 3 no service. Guy pulls flip phone out of his shirt pocket. He said here use mine. OnIy phone with service.

 

As a proud member of the Apple ecosystem (a nod to bitkahuna), with my trusty iPhone, iMac, and AppleTV at my disposal, choosing between Apple and Windows is like choosing between a sleek sports car and a clunky old jalopy. Sure, they both get you from point A to point B, but one does it with style, smoothness, and finesse, while the other rattles and groans its way there. The reason for this is simple: the Apple system is a relatively well-oiled machine that just works. Despite the occasional hiccups that may arise, I can easily navigate them, and the overall experience is unparalleled. No wonder they say, "Once you go Mac, you never go back!" 😉

Ah yes, the infamous myth of everlasting youthfulness, perpetuated by iPhones and Peter Pan. Don't worry, we won't tell your phone that it's not immortal. I can also relate, I slow down over time too!😜

As an aside, I appreciate your relatively balanced perspective acknowledging the good, the bad and the favorite. If only everyone could do so but then I guess spirited conversation might get hampered.

​​​​​​ Having a bad signal has nothing to do with the phone, but the carrier. In fact most flip phones won't work anymore because carriers have shut off analog.

Back in the day I was a BlackBerry enthusiast. My BlackBerry could easily go 3 to 5 days without charging, even with heavy usage. Today my OnePlus can maybe go 40 hours if I don't push it. But I get more done in an hour with my smartphone than I did in a week with my BlackBerry. So it's safe to say, I would never go back to my BB, no matter how much longer the battery lasts

 

My grandmother has a flip phone and a black rotary landline phone. If you’re old enough to know what that is, you know🤣

 

I'm old enough to know . My childhood was the 70's, my teenage years the 80's, and young adult life (20's) was the 90's. No, I didn't walk 10 miles to school in the snow like every adult in my days used to claim, but I did have a Sony Walkman (or at least a knock-off version), played Atari, so yeah, I've been around for awhile to see the rotary phone and that thing called "a landline"
