Yep, this is the way both BMW and Audi do their ventilated seats.
The only cars I've driven with actively cooled seats were GM products I've rented. Several Tahoes/Suburbans and an old Cadillac DTS. These use a Peltier cooler to chill the air being blown out the front seat, at the cost of giving rear seat passengers second degree burns on their knees.
I had an old DTS as a rental way back when and at max cold the seats were very frigid!. Great when first getting back into the car, but I had to back it down to level 1 shortly thereafter
