Are you serious? $35k? I'm betting if you sold it privately you would get closer to $60k. I'm looking at 2021 and 2022 in my area and they are running $52k to almost $60k
Yeah and I kind of expected that from Tesla but I also have 62k miles on it so that doesn’t help. I just ordered new wheels for it but at the same time I may list it for $48k to see what I can get for it. If I can’t get something reasonable I’ll keep it another year and see what happens.
I won't believe it until I see it with my own eyes. We knew the CT was coming soon because of sightings. Same with the Model 3 and Y. They haven't even broken ground on the supposed Mexico factory where they were supposed to build the Model 2

Never trade in a car with Tesla, they will give you peanuts for it. I don't even think they resale Tesla's with that mileage, they just turn them over to companies like CarMax

Outdated info, affordable model is Cybercab and some variation of it what that car is exactly we don't know. Will be built in Texas and possibly California, Mexico is cancelled.

Are they moving at those prices in the private market?

Is the 60k based on mmr?
I saw them on AutoNation, Car Gurus, and a few dealership lots in the Bay area. And yes, they do sell at those prices. In 2022 the Plaid with 22" staggered setup was over $100k.
Not sure what MMR is

I figured with the current *ahem* political climate Mexico would be off the table

Strictly financial decision IMO EV demand is stagnant compared to expectations when Mexico was announced. Tesla is building Megapack and Semi factories that's where the high growth is. Speaking of Megapack the China factory should be up and running shortly if not already.
Also since Tesla said they are cell constrained as per the earnings call may as well put them into the highest margin part of the business.

When you say "cell constrained", do you mean the individual battery cells that go into the modules?
You know I forgot about the Cyber Taxi, there could well be a consumer version that will come with a steering wheel and pedals.

The whole Reuters things was news from last April. But at Q3 earnings call just a few months ago, Elon said a 25K car is silly and doesn't make sense.
