Well I would say they make more money than I will ever see in my lifetime. Most big investors don't invest in early stage companies, which is the the problem my company is facing. And most Bay area billionaires made their money while they were young, so if it took him 60 years to get there, he's doing something wrong

You think Warren Buffet did it wrong?

Either way I'm not smart enough to get rich quick or I would have done it already and I'm not alone vast majority of people trying to game the casino I mean stock market lose money.

No, dude is genius, but there are billionaires like Mark Zuckerberg, who became a billionaire at age 23. Now he's worth $232B. He didn't do it the old fashioned way, and he didn't do it through long term investments. He went on an acquisition run acquiring companies like Instagram and Oculus. Both companies were already worth billions with large user base, he didn't buy them when they "had potential"

Let me put this bluntly. For people like me with limited resources, I don't have much choices other than going for the long term. But if I had let's say $10M to invest, my investment strategy would be completely different

You're talking about what, 10 people in history that are in the same league as Zuckerberg as far as building wealth? They didn't do it by betting on others they bet on themselves. If you had $10 million right now what would you do with it? Why is that any different than having $1,000 or $10,000. And if you had $10 million how did you get it in the first place? We all start from essentially zero unless we're part of old money.

That's it right there. There are tens of millions of people in the US alone that have bet on themselves, with a huge spectrum of financial return for it, from complete ruin to smashing success. The overwhelming majority of them have the title "small business owner". A tiny fraction have become fabulously wealthy, and a single-digit number have built multi-billion-dollar companies from the ground up.

Tesla service is the best. I made an appointment mid december for something they fixed last year and another issue where an error popped up and I was supposed to get these fixed mid January. The day before my original appointment I get an message that the parts aren't in and they automatically reschedule me two weeks later which is today. The fixes were supposed to be 3-4 hours and I planned to wait since there were no loaners. After a half hour of waiting I get a call that they need my car all day so I am stuck here for at least 8 hours waiting with no loaners. Every single time I come here I am stuck here for at least 4-6 hours. This company is awesome!

That sucks. I take it you don't have a service center near you.

I've had absolutely zero issues with Tesla service, from changing a windshield and rear tail light on my Y. Tomorrow they are sending a tech to my work to look at a front camera that keeps reporting it's dirty on my 3. My experience has been stellar opposite

My whole problem with what you are implying is that investors worth billions are stupid simply because they don't invest long term in Tesla. I think there is a misunderstanding on how institutional investors operate. I'll just leave it there because this is a Tesla thread

So Pat, I just talked to a friend who owns a Plaid...a 2023 and has had no issues with it except for the front tire wear due to LCA issues with the 21" Arachnid wheels. He lives in SoCal and has a roughly 60 mile a day work commute. He also has a Model X and did have an issue with the gulf wing doors, which they quickly fixed. I don't know how Lemon Laws work, but it sounds like you got a lemon

I've found Tesla mobile service to be very good. When I have to take it into a service center, things deteriorate quickly. Same with Rivian if I'm being honest.

What I am saying is I’m stuck at the service center for hours every single time I have an issue. I’ve received a loaner only twice and once was after I waited over six hours and when I got home they called me to tell me my car was done.

I have been to all three service centers by me and all were terrible. The closest one to me is about 40 minutes which is where I am. The next two are about an hour away.
