That won't help if someone throws themselves into your car and claims you ran them over.

 

That's what insurance is for. I can't run my dashcam all the time, it will just fill up the USB drive. If I lived and drived in Russia, I would probably run a dash cam 24 X 7

 

I have a 128GB card in mine and set recording to automatically overwrite the oldest file works out to something like 5 hours of footage.

So we’ve talked about my frustrations with Tesla controls. I was at a business event this afternoon with my friend that has the Model S that has the issues with it taking so long to get repairs done. Well this morning she backed into her flagpole, why? Because she slid her finger up on the screen and it didn’t catch drive as she intended and she accelerated thinking it was in drive when it was still in reverse. Silly control interface.

A few months ago she had a windstorm, and her basketball hoop blew over onto her Tesla and her husbands BMW, both had similar damage. BMW was done over a month before the Tesla because of parts difficulty etc.

She would get rid of it but she can’t, because they dropped the prices $30k from when she bought and she’s completely upside down.

She’s not a fan lol

 

Wow, sorry she is having all those issues. Why didn't the emergency braking kick in? I once almost backed into a parked car (I wasn't paying attention) and my car first started screaming and then emergency braked itself. It braked so hard, felt like I hit a brick wall

 

With TSLA only thing you can count on short term is volatility.

 

No clue why it didn’t kick in, maybe because the flagpole was one 5 inches or so across?

 

Oh, probably didn't pick it up. Anyway, I feel bad for her

 

Luckily it didn’t damage the car much, did knock the flagpole down

 

My MIL did the same but backed into someone leaving a parking spot instead. Minimal damage on both cars, but she was peeved
