Porsche uses a 48V system for the their Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) but I don’t think it is used for anything else. Too bad they didn’t use it as a mild hybrid.
You haven’t been following Porsche’s price increases I guess.
Go see what 2025 911 or Cayenne costs vs 2022/2023 models.
Just make sure you are sitting down.
Ive been following, they are just tracking with inflation. The cheapness on the interiors are just as result of having to comply with new emissions rules and the overhead that creates, they just add the nice stuff to options lists
People keep enabling it by buying the cars so they will push until they can't just like any other industry
The new interior design and quality is garbage.
Tremendous cost cutting.
All the German brands have completely gone insane with cost cutting compared to the previous generation models. Even 911 was not spared…..
Sad thing is the prices have increased around $15k for the GTS and I don't see $15k worth of differences from 2023. I don't like the loss of the shifter or the loss of the analog tach which is now part of the LED gauge cluster. Also I was very surprised that, like my X7, the lower part of the pillar where the front seat belt comes out of is hard plastic which is somewhat embarrassing for how much this car costs. I still haven't gotten my car back from the PPF place so I haven't had much time with it yet but there are definitely some things I don't like about the car but all of that goes away when you drive it.
