The interior looked pleasing in person from what I saw, but I did not sit inside and feel all of the surfaces. I was in a hurry so I just opened the door and took a brief look around. The designers did a great job of keeping things looking elegant while still adopting Mercedes’ modern design trends.

I initially thought I saw an E Class today.
However, when I got close, I saw the letter "S" and then I noticed how big it really was - it was actually an S Class - but how the two or even all three look so similar nowadays.

They’ve really always looked similar. Even having an S Class I have a hard time telling from a distance an s from an e from a c of the same generation.

"Same sausage, different lengths" has been a thing with the Germans since at least the 90s.

I totally disagree, the new dash is much better IMO. I would skip the superscreen

The outgoing E Class is not an impressive car at all inside, unless its a really high spec

I don’t agree, just a design of the older one looks better . The lack of door pulls on the new one is shameful

I'm talking about quality, I have extensively driven several W213 E Classes and they are wholly unimpressive.

It has door pulls, the door armrest is the door pull, like on my S Class and all my Lexus cars

Designwise too, I like the new design, its better than the dash layout on the W223.
