How is the paint job?
The paint around the door edge smooth?

Paint is good, haven't seen any issues yet. Just drove it, way better than my Polestar! Suspension is nice and soft without being floaty. Seats are extremely comfortable and cabin is roomy and quiet. I'll do a review on it tomorrow!

Congrats to us!! I should have taken more pictures, but I got too busy checking the car. It was raining after I got home. You know what? I actually spent about 40mins going through that whole list you posted before I went in to sign the paperwork. You can access the car after you accept it in the app and pair it to your phone. The overall panel alignment is good except for the charge port cover, which was a bit misaligned. I did point it out to them, but they said there was no rubbing opening/closing, so they will not fix it until it starts to rub....lol

BTW, I checked the other two new Model Y LR next to me while I was waiting for them to install the plate. Oh boy, their panel gap/alignment looks much worse than mine.

I'm taking it for a road trip to D.C. this weekend. Going to do the supercharge stop for the 1st time—just one pic for now.

I only found so far one slight misalignment, the left rear light

An easy fix, hard to notice unless you look close up. I'll contact my rep (been talking to him by text). Otherwise, haven't found any other issues.

Here's another pic:

I saw a Model X Plaid at my PPF guy last week and the doors and rear hatch alignment were awful. Made me feel pretty good about my car!

I don't know if it makes a difference or not, but my Y was built at the Fremont plant

Congrats, I hope you enjoy it as much as I've been enjoying my MYP. I'm at 6 months and about 8k miles driven. I'm very interested to hear your opinions on how this is different from your Polestar.

from everything i've seen and read, it seems like the model x has been the worst build quality from tesla and it seems like they've focused on getting the model 3 and y much more consistent and repeatable.

i see it says "FM radio" so i assume it doesn't have AM. if congress mandates AM, that oughta be interesting.

Looking good. Congrats! Nothing beats a black car when you can handle it. What type of material is the seat? Looks like vinyl? Have fun and enjoy in good health. Looks like you can take it to the snow north you no issue.
