Hopefully the TNGA-K update (TNGA MARK 2) also gets some improvements.

Current TNGA/K is kind of long in the tooth safety wise with its weak side structure, elevated torso/pelvis injury, and poor rear passenger kinematics. needs some big updates.

I stand with the 2023 Accord as its beyond excellent (and trust me i'm a long time honda hater/criticiser) and hope Toyota can do a great job with the next Camry!!! I hated the Accord at first but when I saw what they did with it, i'm impressed. Not the best styling but on the other hand its the kind of styling that will age well. That's going back to honda's conservative roots vs. the (older last gen) ugly civics and flame surfaced prior gen accord theyve been putting out.
CT, you already spewed this same garbage in the ES thread. For the record, the '23 Camry is rated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety as a Top Safety Pick +, its highest rating. It is rated Green/Good, its top rating, in every one of its listed crash tests:

Small overlap front (the most challenging frontal test), driver's side
Small overlap front, passenger side
Moderate overlap front, original test
Side, original test
Side, updated test
Roof strength
Head restraints & seats

Evidence: https://www.iihs.org/ratings/vehicle...oor-sedan/2023

Your constant trolling slams at Lexus and Toyota sedans since you sold your two ES 300h's for a Tesla are beyond tiresome on this Lexus board. Please stop the stream of falsehoods in your desperate effort to get attention and rationalize your purchase decisions, at least one of which you evidently consider an expensive mistake.

I like the 8th and 9th gen civics the best as the 10th and 11th gen civics the sedan looks like a hatchback.

i'm just happy to hear the sedans are running as long as they are, so let's enjoy these sedans as long as we can until they inevitably become something else as stated or nixed altogether.

yup.
louder obnoxious engine noise intruding inside the cabin. Rougher rides than before. No rear seat toe space under the front seats.

Honda is done with that car and cares much more about the Civic. The Accord will go Crosstour again (ala Crown and Outback), but probably designed better this time around and maybe hybrid only. The goal was to use the 2018 Accord basis for 10 years, then replace it with an all new vehicle currently under development as a crossover and no longer a sedan. Toyota has too many vehicles I imagine to bother doing that with the 2031 Camry.
I had long since been thinking about this quote from CM1 and lo and behold.. Honda just previewed the "Large Hybrid Sedan" concept and it seems exactly what Carmaker1 had said.. a hybrid Crosstour/Crown Cross esque replacement for the Accord
