Lexus is missing huge marketshare.
I personally would be more than happy to buy a Lexus product if it was appealing such as a RWD based midsize SUV in X3 / X5 class. The crazy thing is they have the RWD platform and the V6 turbo engine - yet its inexplicable why they don’t offer it.
Instead they sell pedestrian NX / RX that has zero interest for me.

Agreed. I don't think I'd go back at this point either. My partner also can't stand Toyota/Lexus so there's essentially no chance.

But no. Just continue underperforming I guess.

By far the worlds # 1 automobile manufacturer. Fortune Magazine ranks them the most respected auto manufacturer. I don't think they are concerned with building a 400+ horsepower vehicle. Toyota's mission statement which they have accomplished with precision and will keep them # 1 without a 400+ horsepower car.

I had a bunch of their cars recently but I'm only going to keep the LS460 and it will eventually be traded for a LS600h L executive just to have the ultimate the brand offered. Issue is the value just isn't there with Lexus these days, they no longer make a top tier product or performance products and have lost two major market segments as a result. Heck they haven't really tried since 2013 really...
I was going to replace my old Jeep with an RX but after trying out a Q7 I'm going German for that as well.

while they continue to make high quality products, they're rapidly losing a larger segment of the market who just finds their products either not innovative or not interesting (or both).
i was pretty much in that camp but decided to get an LC500 2 years ago because i felt it was an old school unicorn with many super nice design elements.
like it or not, electric cars are happening in a bigger and bigger way, and toyota/lexus is a decade late to the party.
