Jeezus, thats insane! In BC we're all required to be insured by a government company, ICBC. I'm only paying about $180. Its for an older car though..

I'm a bit lower than "scENFORCER". $160ish per month . . . @ Certas Direct.

I was with BELAIR for more than 5 years and they just sky-rocketed their rates for my renewal this year. Therefore, I said "Adios"

Well, let me tell you, that is absolutely normal and a "fair" rate.

My old man was unfortunate and had 3 speeding tickets (minor convictions) within 2 years. His insurance called him and dumped him. He called a few places and he was either declined or quoted $500 per month. He is a +65 year old retiree...

I am with Belair Direct and have 2 vehicles. I am paying about $120-$130 per vehicle per month. I do not have a clean record.

I'm with Coseco Insurance (group insurance arm of Co-Operators). I pay $2100/year, or $175/month. Clean driving record.

Of course it all depends on where you live in the GTA (Brampton has the highest rates apparently), how far you drive, whether it's for commuting, business, or occasional use, liability coverage, deductibles, etc. There's a lot of variables.

($2 million liability, business use, approx. 60 km one way to work, approx. 24,000 km/yr, $250 comprehensive and $500 collision deductibles)

TD, on an Employer Group Plan / 2008 IS 250 / clean record: $244/month

I live in Scarborough, that might explain some of the premium.

Currently @ ~400/month.

After my first year, should drop to about $250-300 with TD alumni group discount.
