Locking mail boxes
Where can I find locking mailboxes for single home/office?
Our mail were being stolen... cheques are inside from customers and were cashed out from banks, thus some clients say they won't pay again since they paid even if it didn't reach us. etc.....

I tried home depot, canadian tire, rona, wal mart etc... the most secure is the one we had, which sucks, we bought a tool box today at can tire and a few locks (which only 1 fit....) and cut up a thin but wide slot on the side then mount it on its side on the wall...
I'll see if I can get some pictures later when I go there next time to get mail, or see it being broken into....

OK, they're still taking out our mail, I'll try to weld up some points that they've already broke and other hinge areas. if it doesn't work, I'm going to harm something, including myself!

but then don't I have to change all my mails to that address? (I've already did so with the company name and my parents, but we have chinese names and english names and we have 4 people... that's a lot...) if so, I can just send it to another house instead of renting....
^ yea, you def have to change all the mail. Alternatively, you can pay Canada Post to auto forward to the P.O. Box for some amount of time. Each time we move we auto-fwd for like a year.
Actually, the forwarding idea might be good because it's less work and once the hooligan people figure out there's no mail to steal the theory goes they would move on, then eventually you wont need to fwd anymore.

We've already fowarded the company's mail where that's the majority of the cheques are... but since it's company, I can only forward 2 business names and 2 people's names... some of our mails like my land assestment, tax return etc are still vulnerable... I'm gonna find to see if there's any specialty mail box selling place or go to true value to get a secure one for 80...
Just went down to the states to buy this:

Now I just have to mount it securely.
I did think of rigging something, but only with things like spray paint, EZ liner, etc...
lol at the border guards when they hear and don't understand why I'm going down to the states to buy a locking mail box.
didn't need to pay anything more at the border though. 184.44USD...
oh, and there's a road block just before peace arch when coming back. :?
