Btw, I know someone else who was looking for a 1IS, would have told them had I known you were selling yours. Instead, I spent time+gas with them looking at shady US imports/4 owner ones. No decent 1ISs for sale anywhere in the lower mainland...

What about if you grab one out of the states from another CL member? That way you can check up on the car fully before you actually go to the trouble of going to look at it. Try the WA guys first maybe?

 

I should have known about it. However, I have been incredibly busy lately...so not much time for CL or anything else for that matter

Sorry, but he is looking for a stock IS/auto ~ $10,000.

Did some looking...there is an 03 at some dealer near Brentwood...but the interior was massacred by the previous owner (holes and scratches everywhere). Likewise, the rims were missing chunks due to extreme curb rash (worst case I have ever seen!). Good mechanical/exterior condition otherwise though. They also have a really modded 01...didn't look at it.
Found another 01 one near Metrotown...but it has rust on engine block+$2100 damage. Runs very rough as well/ has dead alternator and dirty interior.

The search continues...

^^ Yep, but he doesn't want a modded one. I guess he only wants to keep it for a year or two, and wants to be able to sell it easily later. Modded+manual=really hard to sell to 95% of people. Plus he would probably wreck it learning to drive manual.

narfy, we looked at it...3 owners in the past 3 years...so its kind of suspicious. The guy could be a curbsider as well, since he was selling a couple of cars in the past few months.
